Why do some people believe in psychics while others don’t?

I am confused about people's beliefs about psychics. I don't know if I should believe in it or not. Can you please give me some reasons of why some people believe in psychics or why not? Thanks

  1. You can believe they exist, but no one is psychic.

  2. Some people have the gulibility gene.

  3. A lot of people can fake it. Some people have a hard time believing that someone has psychic abilities. When people fake something it makes it much harder to believe it is real.

  4. Most sensible people don’t believe in psychics because they’ve never been demonstrated to have the powers they claim.

They all use self-delusion and/or trickery.

For many years, James Randi has famously been offering $1,000,000 to anyone who can prove that they have ANY “paranormal” powers.

It hasn’t been claimed yet. That should tell you something.

  5. People believe in all sorts of silly things. There is no evidence anywhere that anyone has or has ever had psychic abilities. Those people who think they are psychic are deluded. Those who claim to be psychic and charge money for it are charlatans.

  6. The Bible warns about psychics…to not have anything to do with them…
WHY…Obviously, god thinks they DO have some effect…and if God warns you, THEY must be working for Satan.
And with satan’s support, they ARE able to know things…beyond the normal.
(Deuteronomy 18:10-12) There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.
