Why do I hear numbers being dialed every time I answer a call on my work phone?
Is anyone extremely familiar with troubleshooting the Partner Advanced Communications Release 6 phone system? Every time I pick up an outside call on this phone at work, I hear a series of numbers dialed, similar to what you would hear if you were speed dialing someone. How do I fix this?
Also, the intercom button on my phone rings sporadically (this has never happened before) and when I pick it up, I hear the same type of sounds.
What happened to the settings? How do I fix this?

it is CROSS TALK. Cross talk is caused by excessive gain or excessive loop voltage.
Have your telco test the loop. They can add resistors to limit the voltage and reduce the gain.
