What is the correct format for a college application essay?
For my essay, do I need to put a creative title as the header or do I need to restate the prompt?
What font should I use for the actual paper?
Do I just put on a straight title or do I need to put on a whole header, with my name and the date included?
I'm submitting the essay online, through common application, so they will already know who sent the essay.
Thanks!

I’m not an english teacher or an admissions officer, but maybe I can simply give my opinion. I would try to think of a creative title, simply because your essay should make the prompt very clear. It’s also probably a good idea to use a standard font– Times New Roman, Arial, Georgia, Verdana, or any other that is easily readable. I would say it’s definitely a good idea to put your name as well. It does no harm, and may help the readability of your essay– imagine being able to put a name to an essay, rather than having it feel like a ghost-writer! I also don’t see any harm in dating it. I’m sure that Admissions would love to see more information rather than less. Hope this helps!
