What is a good start to an essay on What experience has had the biggest impact on who you are today?
I'm writing an essay for my application to a secondary school. The essay question is "What experience has had the biggest impact on who you are today?" I have a basic idea of what i can write for the body of my essay but I need help with a good starter and introduction. If you could give me a good first sentence or first few sentences, it would be great. Thanks!

Your specific experience is going to dictate your introduction – however, I wrote a similar essay a few years ago… my introduction told of who I was before the experience, my thoughts, views, naivety, etc… it provided a good contrast with who I was after the experience, how it had changed my way of thinking.
I started out something like… at 17 years old I was… I thought… I felt… I looked at the world and others around me never really seeing the whole picture…
The essay went over very well.
