What is a good budget camera with a low shot to shot time?

I'm looking for a budget, point and shoot digital camera with a fast first shot and shot to shot time. Preferably under $150 and 12MP or higher. We are trying to keep up with the kids! Thanks.

  1. Since all P&S cameras have some kind of shutter lag, you will have to learn this technique or up your budget to around $700 and get a dSLR

  2. Up the budget to a DSLR.

You could look at a bridge camera by Canon/Nikon, but even they will have some sort of shutter lag, whilst not being as slow as a regular P&S.

If you really want a seemless flow between photos a DSLR is the only way to go.

  3. Kodak z915 has a very quick start and Pic to pic time. We where driving 60 MPH. We went around a corner and saw a huge tractor with tracks 3 foor wide, I’m a guy, I must have a picture of the big rig to show off. In about 10-15 seconds I’d rattled off about 13 shots. It was even a “mostly cloudy day” and the auto-focus reacted quick. 10MP, 10X optical zoom, good videos (edit pix and vids on camera as well).

  4. You can consider Nikon Coolpix S4000 12 MP Digital Camera

12.0 megapixels for stunning prints as large as 16 x 20 inches
Bright 3.0-inch touch-panel LCD; Sensitive Response Touch Panel; Touch Shutter and Autofocus
    4x wide-angle Zoom-NIKKOR glass lens
720p HD movie recording at 24 fps
4-way VR Image Stabilization System; Smart Portrait System
