What are the chances of a women getting pregnant on the depo shot?
I've been on the depo shot a little over 18 months. And i was just wondering how common it is for a women to get pregnant on the depo shot. I've heard of several people not knowing they we're pregnant and being on birth control. Just not sure about the depo shot. Please tell me what u know so i can be more careful.

It is unusual to get pregnant while taking Depo-Provera regularly, but pregnancies sometimes occur before the shot is given, and then go unrecognized until there is an obvious sign, like fetal movement. There is an extremely rare chance of them being together. Famed as one of the best birth control pills, Depo Provera is also infamous for preventing pregnancies even after use. This can be blamed on the long term effects of the hormone progestin, which is the main ingredient of Depo Provera.

Depo is 92-98% effective (depending on the study you look at)
What that means is between 2 out of 100 or 8 out of 100 wormen get pegnant every year while using it.
It isnt common, but it is possible–esp if you arent right on time with your injections.
