Does Linux have the potential to be as good as Windows for gaming?
I know you can download Wine to run Windows games on Linux, but I want to make sure that everything in Linux can be just as good as it is in Windows XP. I'm wondering if networking will screw up considering the rest of my family runs on Windows... Does that mean no LAN? Stuff like that. I'll post more details if people need more so check back.

I have been running Linux for two months and I like it much better then my Windows XP. My computer doesn't freeze or crash anymore. I don't have to worry to much about viruses or spyware on my computer. I would think that Microsoft Would be hurting in sales if linux was able to run all PC applications that windows run.
How do I boot Linux when windows is hibernated?
I want to be able to hibernate Windows, then boot Linux so that I can quickly boot Windows when I need to. Problem is, when Windows is hibernated, the computer boots to Windows automatically without showing an OS selection screen. How do I fix this?
I have Ubuntu. Also, when a computer is hibernated, it is completely powered off. Hibernation just saves memory data to the disk for later reload.
How do I upload Linux onto a hard drive that has windows XP?
The problem is that I couldn't fully upload XP because I lost the product key and I am not going to pay for another copy or a new OS just so I can turn around and remove it with Linux. So if you other tech-heads out there would mind giving a hand to an absent-minded tech-head, I would be graciously thankful.
