I just did a water change and my fish died?
So, I did my usual ever 2 weeks gravel siphon, algae scrape and water change in my 10 gallon aquarium and everything was going normal. I took out the decorations, cleaned them off, scraped the walls of excess algae, siphoned the gunk off of the gravel and then replaced the amount of water I took out (along with adding a teaspoon of aquarium salt like always).
About an hour after I finished doing this, I noticed some of my fish acting funny but one of them went back to acting normal after a few minutes. But then, I noticed that another one was swimming upside-down just before it died. It was the oldest fish in my aquarium so it could have just been old age but still, I'm concerned for the others now. The temperature is the same as it was so it couldn't have been fried or frozen. It just up and died.
Do you think I did something wrong? I honestly don't know because I've done this many times before for the past couple months and it's never bothered them before.
How can I lower the hardness of the water in my fish tank?
I have a 30 gallon Malawi cichlid tank and recently put crushed coral in my tank. The water is way too hard. I took some more of the coral out to see if it was that I had too much in the tank and it still continues to be about 350. Some pet stores say theres nothing I can do and others say they have something that will only temporarily solve the problem. I know that cichlids like hard water but I need to lower it just a bit.What should I do?
How long does it take for hot water to kill sperm?
I've heard that if a male sits in say a hot bath for awhile it can like stun or kill his sperm making the chance of getting a girl pregnant while having sex less likely. I was wondering if that was true because I know are ball position changes depending on how hot or cold it is. And if it is true, how long would I have to sit in a shower, bath tub, or hot tub for all my sperm to get knocked out or die off. Thanks!

How long can our landlord leave us without running hot water?
Hot water is included in our rent, the hot water has been off since Friday, it is now Monday. The main boiler broke and our landlord does not want to fully replace it, just try and get plumbers to fix it. One already came out and fixed it and it broke again in about 4 hours. There are at least 50 units in the complex so that's at least 200 people without running hot water.
I live in California if that helps.

Is this weird? My 2 goldens and my lab have no problem with the cat, they even will sit on the bed with him. When i first saw my cat doing this I thought the dogs would be more territorial but they wernt. I was just wondering is this normal for a friendly cat. I refil his water regularly so there's no reason for him to dislike it. I just think it's weird.
What made the hot water in my bathtub quit running?
I have an older Moen faucet and when I turned the hot water on it ran for a about 20 seconds then quit. The rest of the hot water faucets in the house work fine. I tried again and the hot water would not come out. The cold water was just fine. What could have happened to just the hot side? It does not leak but water will not come out. Can anyone help?
