How soon after buying a guinea pig can I try to bond with it?
I got a new guinea pig yesterday and it seems content with me. I can pet it and it purrs when I oet it; it even fell asleep to me petting it yesterday! 
So I was just wondering, when can I try to start bonding with it, like trying to pick it up and hold it?

What are the causes for female shelties weight gain 7months after having puppies?
My female had a litter back in october that she nursed for 3 months.Some of her nipples and belly still have black spots.While nursing she stayed thin but since then she has tripled in weight.She doesnt eat very much and is not sick.I have pressed on her belly and all over to see if she is tender somewhere and she acts fine.She eats,plays and potties normally but is just getting bigger and bigger.Her food is the same as before she was pregnant. When I called our vet he said if she is eating and relieving her self and acting normal there isnt any thing to worry about.We are considering switching vets because we think something is wrong.Any help out there will be appreciated.We are going to call someone after the holiday .
Why does my Yorkie always smell after being ouside, even if just for few minutes? Is there a special shampoo ?
My 2yr old Yorkie, Max, always comes in from outside smelling like he'd been out all day. And this is even if only out there for couple of minutes. Was wondering if I need a better shampoo, I've just been wasing him with Hartz flea and tick.
My puppy only wants to sleep after shots whats wrong?
My golden retriever is 3 months old. Yesterday they gave her 2 shots. Bordetella and the parvo one. She was okay afterwards. Now its the next day and she just wants to sleep and her back legs are week. She won't eat or drink. She just wants to sleep.
I called the vet they say its normal but I don't know.. she has never acted this way.
Anyone gone through this? What should I do?
How many of you pick up after your dogs when they go to the bathroom in public?
Local park is thinking of barring all dogs because nobody picks up after their dogs. Parents have complained and the creek is getting high levels of bacteria from rain running off the feces and into the creek. In the last few years they have provided waste baskets just for dog dropping and have a dispenser of baggies and a pump with hand sanitizer. All of these baskets are within 3o yards of each other.

How long after a miscarriage is it okay to try to get pregnant again?
I know right now isn't the best time to say "you wanna go to the bedroom" because I know neither of us are ready yet, but how long does it usually take to bring yourself out of this slump? I feel like crap, she feels like crap, the kids are still crying...Should we try sooner rather than later, or vice versa? She is going to the doctor to get checked out on Wednesday, and I guess we'll see where it goes from there.
