  1. Make sure that you keep the tankclean and clear and that the size of the tankis big enough. They need a really big one cause they get very big.

  2. Just dont feed them too much…and dont constantly change the water for your tank…just feed them correctly…they are really easy…

  3. 1. Make sure their tank is properly cycled. http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aquarium/cycling.php
    2. House them in an appropriately sized tank. For your 2, that would be 30-gallons if they’re of the fancy variety, and at least 50-gallons if they’re Common/Feeder fish.
    3. Good filtration using a filter rated for at least 2x your tanks volume.
    4. Keep up with your 25% weekly water changes, using a gravel siphon and water conditioner/chlorine remover that also removes chloramine.
    5. Test your water frequently, especially for ammonia.
    6. Feed them sinking food. They tend to get swim bladder issues from gulping air at the surface with floating foods.

    Good luck.

  4. No they are the hardest. You need a 30 gallon for those 2 fish. You will need a big filter. You will need to do a 10% water changes weekly and add water conditioner and you will need to feed them floating pellets to not cloud the water. And also if you want them to live longer get them a 300+ gallon pond. with live plants.

  5. They are easy if you know what you are doing. If you don’t they could die in just a few days. I have done that many times over the years. You will need a 25 percent water change everyday with conditioner because your tank isn’t cycled and ready for fish yet. Then on the weekend do a bigger water change and do that part from now on. Feed only once a day. Now please go to http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/index.php and you will learn everything you have to know about goldfish. They are great there . Like don’t change your filter only rinse it in a bucket of the used tank water. Good luck. I LOVE goldfish.

  6. The true lifespan of a WELL CARED-FOR goldfish in captivity can extend beyond 10 years.
a well cared-for goldfish means one with a healthy good size tank with a good dietary intake.

  7. make sure that you don’t feed them too much. and make sure that you clean the tank regularly and be sure that there is not too much light in the room. make sure that the temperature is just right for the fish.
Don’t forget to clean out your filter.

For better results, you can add at least two water snails to your tank,or a Plecostomus.(Algea eater)

    Hope I helped! XD

  8. the truth is the most easiest to take care of are bettas (siamese fighting fish) goldfish are a bit hard to take care of because they poo much, but dont worry a good filter and some live plants will help you clean the tank, get oxygen for your tank, and some gravel filter, try getting a algae eating fish, make sure to put your tank not in direct sunlight, sunlight makes the algae grow bigger and faster, get a uv light in your tank also, make sure your lights in the tank isn’t that strong, try turning off thee light of your tank if your going to sleep or going outside of your house, and only turn it on when your gonna check what’s going on at your tank, goldfish are fun pets, when you get some experience try getting a bigger tank and put some other fish, warning: dont put guppies with goldfish,

why? goldfish and guppies are enemie, goldfish eats a guppies fry or eggs, so try not putting some guppies try putting tetra neons instead or zebra danios.

don’t over feed your goldfish, you dont want your own pet fish to breath on our own urine! only feed them for 2-3 times a day. plants are good decoration and helps clean your tank, your fish could also lay eggs there or hide. the plant eats the fish waste as fertilizer so it helps your clean the tank.

there are the main things you need:
FILTER, OXYGEN, A BIG TANK, A GRAvEL FILTER, LIVE PLANTS AND 1 OF THE MosT IMPORTANT THING YOU NEED TO DO IS TO CYCLE YOUR TANK.

  9. 1. The most important rule: DO NOT keep them in a bowl! They should be in a fully cycled aquarium, and will eventually need about 30 gallons for the two of them. And no, they do not just grow to the size of their tank.

    2. Don’t overfeed.

    3. In addition to filtration, they should have an air stone to oxygenate the water.

    4. Let me repeat: NO BOWLS. NO.
