No minivans are good in the snow and slush unless they have four-wheel drive. Since vans are rear-wheel drive and light in the rear end (unless you pile a bunch of adults in the back) it will not have good tractions in the snow.
The Chevy Venture is front wheel drive, but, if you don’t know what you are doing, that won’t make any difference. As long as the tires are in good shape, you should have no problems. Just don’t forget to respect the weather. If you don’t, you’ll be in trouble. I actually prefer rear wheel drive in snow if I can’t drive one of my 4×4′s for some reason.

No…
Terrible.
Generally all Chevies are bad in snow.
No diff locks, bad limited diffs and primitive electronics.
Toyotas are best.

Any front wheel drive vehicle is better in snow than a rear wheel drive.
