Any time you sedate an animal or person for that matter there is a risk. Depending on the breed of dog she is you may want to ask the vet not to use Acepromazine. ACE can kill a boxer. If it is not a boxer then you will be fine using it.
The chances of something actually happening to your dog is very very rare but you should always be aware that there is a slight slight risk.

Possible, but the risk is low. Thousands of dogs are sterilized daily without any problems.

There’s always a chance, but it’s extremely small. Make sure your vet knows what he/she is doing; ask questions. Make sure you are comfortable with what is happening.

yea i mean its possible, just think of it like if u went into sergery that u had to have anesthesia ther is a possibility that u could die as well. but the incidences are very rare and the vet knows what he or she is doing…u spend four years in vet school, and have to observe a variety of vets before vet school in order to get in vet school if u want to be a vet. so they have lots of experience. If u are very worried, i suggest talking to ur vet about this, and u will be reassured that she is going to be fine.

It is possible for anything to happen but very rare. I have never heard of it. All of my dogs have been fixed. The risk of cancer is much less for a dog that is fixed. Call your vet and talk to him. He will reassure you.

Yes she could. They could give her too much of the anesthetic and kill her. Same thing could happen to a human but not likely. I’m sorry to bear bad news but its true.
