Is being a psychic or believing in psychics a religion of its own?
It seems that most atheists, Christians, Muslims etc alike are in agreement that psychics are fakes or bunk. So would believing in psychics be a belief system all of its own? They have some of the basic components of religion: belief system, community, central myths, ritual, characteristic emotional experiences, material expression and symbolism.

In a sense, yes but one of the main components of religions are that they declare themselves as such. For example, many people believe in UFO’s but that doesn’t make it a religion. On the other hand, if they called it the church of ufology and called themselves the ufologians then that would make it a religion.
