I just got 16 baby chickens and my rooster is being picked on severely by my hens! Help me keep him alive!!!?
I need to know how to keep my hens from killing my baby rooster! They are only a few days old, and they are already picking on him severely!! His eyes were stuck shut because the hens kept pecking at them!

THOSE Darn Hens! What JERKS! You need to push them AWAY from him, WHILE WEARING GLOVES SO THEY DON’T HURT YOU! PICK them up and put them in a cage for a little while (like time-out). If they continue to do that e-mail a chicken farmer (whatever they would be called) about what you should do IMEDIATLEY! DON’T LET THEM KILL THE POOR Rooster!!! This is so sad, you just need to raise him sepreatley or disipline those chickens!
