How hot is too hot to exercise outside?

I've been trying to PT outside, but today it was about 92°+. So I just decided that maybe it was a bit too hot to go outside and run/workout like I was planning on doing. So how hot is too hot to go outside and run? Should I have gone today and just press through the heat, or did I make the right choice and just skip today? Please give me good answers! Thank you in advanced =)

  1. i love exercising in heat. Its easier to get warmed up, sweat, and move your muscles… I think the main problem is the sun..id say anything over 95 is too hott…I think you could have gone…its not gonna kill u..you just have to be smart and figure out when your body has had enough…and i would go in the morning or late evening when the sun isnt as strong

    go to the gym for that
    and when it cools then go outside
    or try running realllly early or later on in the day
    DEF. not in ht middle :)

  3. I actually LOVE the heat. It gets me pumped and actually makes me feel good. Maybe it’s the vitamin D soaking into our pours? Anyway, make sure if you exercise in the heat, that you are plenty hydrated. We sweat a lot in the heat, so that means we have to drink even more water than usual. Those who don’t drink enough, will get dehydrated quickly when running in the heat.

  4. It all depends on how much you can take. Exercising outside when its hot is good for as long as you have something to rehydrate yourself .. like a bottle of cold water to replace the energy you spent working out. 92º is not so hot (for me) .. besides, doing it in hot weather condition builds up stamina and resistance.

    Again, it all depends on how much heat you can take. If its too much for you, have an alternative, like treadmill in the gym or go out early before the sun comes out and heat things up. For me, skipping is not a good excuse .. unless you’ve been doing it the whole week and perhaps you need a day of rest. Always have an alternative thing to do if you routine is not .. say .. “available”
