How do you think psychics get their information?
I have seem numerous phychics who claim they are clarivoyant, and can just tell you all about your past, present.. and apparently your future too just by talking to you. (No tarot cards,.. just by tapping into you from your voice)
Anyhow.. some seemed like they were a fraud. Yet there were others that really did tap into things that no one could have possibly known so many details unless they knew me personally.
How do you think they do this?

Maybe they’re good at reading people.

Cold reading

It’s called cold reading. They give you a generalised statement that can apply to absolutely anybody and then key on your responses.
This video might be of interest to you:

In the first sequence, the psychic clown takes the guy by surprise then delivers a generic statement. watch how he uses the guy’s responses to spin the story.
In the second part of the video it shows how easy it is for a psychic to convince somebody that they know all about them, just by using generic statements and playing on what the person wants to hear.

they lie?

They ask you easy questions, each one revealing a little about you, gradually leading up to easily assumed information about you. Its all a scam. I watched a whole documentary on it. They consider it an art of scamming.
Edit: I couldnt remember the word, but it was Cold reading, previously stated.

Partly psychology, partly observation, but mostly using generic phrases to get people to tell them all they need to know about them without the other side even realizing what happens. It requires a bit of training, but it’s really easy once you got the hang of it. Also, they use generic phrases that are true for almost anyone to get people to believe in their authority.

From God!

The generalisations are cold reading but many “psychics” have various methods of learning about people attending their shows, even getting them to fill out information sheets when buying tickets. They are all frauds.

hi

Rather then going by what i think allow me to explain what The Bible teaches instead: For it reads in Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.
If is very clear satan is behind this psychics thing
Also in Deut. 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him
In Old testament times people who did this was put to death, Find out more free bible lessons http://www.vop.com no bible? http://www.bibleuniverse.com

the devil imitate everything God has. We that are born again with the gift of prophesy we have the Holy Spirit. Those that work for the devil , phychcis, hear from familiar spirits and demons. God is not of mediums, soothsayers. 1 Samuel 28:7 “Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor” The woman had a familiar spirit to call up dead people.. this is not of God!

there are pretenders, yes and how they do accurate readings is explained in the answers above
when someone is reading you its a 3 part connection
their soul, your soul and spirit
once the connection is established there begins a flow
of energy, impressions, visions and information
for me its easier to read a complete stranger than someone i know
because i already know things about them, things they want/desire
its harder for me to tell if what im receiving is fact or me wanting that for them
i wouldnt recommend letting complete strangers online read you
unless divinely lead to do so
