How do you stop two cats from fighting?

I just got the scare of my life. Something slammed into our front door and to be honest my first thought was someone was trying to break in. I went to see and it was two stray toms involved in a fight to the death.

This was three minutes ago and they are still fighting. Will tossing some water in their direction help or do I have to wait until one of them kills the other one.

And does anyone have any natural remedies for nerves? My hands are shaking.

  1. Kick em both if it dont work then tackle one and fight it haha

  2. Dog/s.

  3. Spray them with water.. And throw fish at them.

  4. Have a compromise talk with the two! Lol

and give them some moral guidance!

    spray water……..

  5. water hose.

  6. Start whipping around the “birdie on a string” toy.

  7. put them in separate rooms

  8. Keep them away fromk eachother

  9. spray them with water!

  10. probably the water would be the safest thing, for the nerves a glass of brandy

  11. Turn the hose on them. They’ll at least be shocked enough to run off somewhere else to fight.

  12. LOL poor water on them!!:))they will stop…or just kick them:)don’t wait

  13. Sometimes you have to let the ugly side of nature take its course. Cats are animals and domestic or not they have instincts to fight and no intellectual or philosophical literature to tell them otherwise. A stun gun or some such thing would probably do it or fireworks or something scarier than losing the fight.

Try answering questions on Y! answers and maybe that will calm you down. Drink some water too and maybe do some physical activity. Then take a nap. Naps are great!

  14. well that’s a common for cats & dogs…but the best to stop them are hot water…sure they will fell same.. :)

  15. spray or throw a lot of water, take some deep breaths cat fights always look and sound worse than they are.

  16. I think you should kick them out of your house , and make a lot of noise that will make them go away , because this is how cats solve their problems so you cant do any thing about it.
don’t worry, they wont attack you, they are so busy being mad at each other.

  17. Throw water on them and try to separate them. Or throw a thick blanket over one and drive the other away. If that doesn’t work ring the pound.

  18. PISH POSH! pour hot water on them!!!

  19. scare them or bring one dog!

  20. You could look into humanely trapping them, getting them neutered and then either releasing them or putting them in a shelter. Totally solve the problem that way.

  21. Just run at them like you’re going to grab them and they should scatter. Anything that would scare them should work.
