How do you start and organize this essay?
I have to write an essay for a college application. I have to write about a person that has influenced me and explain that influence. I don't know how to start the essay and how to organize the paragraphs. Thank You

I would start with a dramatic introduction paragraph for example if your influence has been a teacher you might start with:
It wasn’t until Mrs Smith presented the lesson on alkali metals that I realised how much I enjoy Chemistry. Up until that point my experience of chemistry was watching boring experimentation with colourless chemicals and no memorable outcome. Watching the alkali metals light up on contact with water seemed to ignite a light inside my mind and I have never looked back.
