How do you eliminate static from your carpet?
Just moved into a new apartment and the static electricity is horrible, my poor dog gets zapped everytime I touch her and I get zapped if I touch anything, can anyone help?

You cant. The static isnt just there, but is created by moving accross it.

You can prevent static using fabric softener. Take a look at this trick at

There are many static remover products on the market. You can find at Home Depot, or a carpet store. You just spray it on.
