How do I prevent windows boot manager from loading when I turn on my computer?

Whenever I turn on my computer I am prompted by a selection of two choices: Windows 7 & Microsoft Windows Vista. I recently deleted the partition of windows 7 on my HDD and I don't want this boot manager to pop up anymore every time I turn on my computer. How do I make Windows Vista the default Operating System?

  1. in the run box (windows key + R) or the “search programs and files” textfield at the bottom of your startmenu, type “msconfig” without the quotes. The boot tab should have all the stuff you need to get it removed. Another alternative is to use bcdedit from the command line, which is probably out of the scope of this post.
