Can i install windows and linux together in the same computer?
I use windows xp pro sp2. I would like to use linux. Is it possible to install linex in my D: drive with out formatting all the other partitions? Can you explain me how to do that?

you can partition your hard drive and install linux in the new partition and on startup you can choose whether you want to boot into xp or linux.

You can install Ubuntu 9.04 using Wubi installer http://wubi-installer.org/
No need to burn a CD. Just run the installer, enter a password for the new account, and click “Install”.
You keep Windows as it is, Wubi only adds an extra option to boot into Ubuntu. Wubi does not require you to modify the partitions of your PC, or to use a different bootloader, and does not install special drivers. It works just like any other application.
Wubi keeps most of the files in one folder, and if you do not like it, you can simply uninstall it as any other application.
