Can I give my ferret a bath daily if it doesnt strip oils?

It says it doesn't strip the oils and it is called Marshall Pet No-Tears Formula Ferret Shampoo. I was just wondering because the next day she has the smell to her again. She has been degland.
I plan to get other stuff to help smell and toys she was giving to me.

  1. Any water contact and soap will strip oils, even if the packaging says otherwise. You should bath her once every two months AT MOST. She smells after the bath because her body tells her skin to make extra oils for the ones lost during the bath. Ferrets smell their muskiest after a bath because of this.

  2. Yeah, I wouldn’t give her a bath everyday-it will dry out her skin and probably make her very itchy and uncomfortable. A lot of soap says that for all animals and people soap too, but it isn’t true because the water dries skin out too. I would give her a bath only once or twice a month at the most (once is really my advice) and just make sure you clean her poop out at least once a day which will help with her odor, plus any hammocks or bedding at least once every couple days should be washed or changed. They are stinky animals regardless of being descented. If you keep up on her litter box and her bedding though, it shouldn’t be too bad.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help and good luck:) I love ferrets-oh yeah, they aren’t rodents, but I can see how people make that mistake often:)
